Sexual selection requires the use and continual modification of a lure. Sometimes a lure is a behavior but often it is a physical form that is designed to attract. Sometimes this attraction is nefarious as with the bioluminescent deep-sea predator, the angler fish who uses light to attract unwitting prey in the darkness. More frequently lures are used for sexual attraction, the strongest evolutionary pull, on par with mere survival. The lure itself archives the shared histories and urges. Nymph was woven as an ode to the sanctity of seduction inherent in the natural world and to the soft triumph in its continuation in the face of perverse destruction. Woven in reed, Nymph has a continuous, undulating surface and emits a firm light in LED along its central shaft which dissipates along its three hooded domes.
